4 Important questions to kick start your 2019

I was talking earlier today about what an important year this is going to be for the High Street Agent. Lots of noise going around with the talk of Countrywide Share price, our purple friends and their market share, everyone’s favourite – Brexit and a generally unsettled political and financial landscape. Having said that, out of all of this is coming opportunity and for those with a progressive business mindset who are open to development and change, I think the road ahead is not only simply challenging and unknown but more important than that, is that it is an exciting one and for those brave enough, it is no doubt going to be a fantastic year.

Here are 4 questions that a friend of mine within the industry recently asked me:

What do you do for your clients?
Where are you based and which areas do you cover?
What are your current short-term business goals?
What are your long-term business goals?

This really got me thinking as when I was practising agency daily these are questions that I often used to look at and engage the teams I was responsible for, in looking at. It is critical to all businesses to know why they exist and this is a great place to start to understand this as well as what your core values are and where you stand in the market place.

Here are my answers:

What do you do for your clients?
EA Life provide a unique and educational style training called ‘The Curriculum for Estate Agents’ ® which has been designed to inspire, empower and make a real difference in the performance of staff working within the Estate Agency industry. It is a way for people to get a profound understanding on what it is to be an Estate Agent, the difference it makes to people’s lives and to discover and maximise the opportunities this presents.

Where are you based and which areas do you cover? Based in London / Hertfordshire area and cover Nationwide

What are your short-term business goals?
Currently we are training estate agents to become Genuine Property Experts who understand the importance of knowing their customer’s journey and experience, thereby, growing their business, brand and what they are known for.

What are your long-term business goals?
Long term we aim to transform the high street agent into one of trusted advisers, leaders and people that make a real difference within their organisations and communities at large.
